Study on Tipping and Esthetics of the anterior teeth of Koreans.

Abstract
|
|
|
128 Korean youth (106 male, 22 female) were studied on the arrangement of the maxillary anterior teeth employing occlusal plane made by the cusps of the maxillary cuspids and the edge of the maxillary central incisor in both sides as the standard of occlusion.
The results were as follows:
1. Generally in torsional degree, : the left side of the upper anterior teeth is rotated distally more than . the right side both in men and women.
Especially in women, the lat´ al incisor and- canine of the left side are more protruted than those of the right side.
2. On the whole, the degree of mesio-distal inclination is more severe in men than in women, but the inclinations of the left and right side are nearly the same.
3. The degree of labio-lingual inclination is more protuberant about 2-3 degree in women than in men.
4. Overjet seems to be more severe than overbite.
